This is a good race with two good climbs on it. I got a bit more infomation yesterday, I find the leaflet and post more information later.

had a go at the newbridge gp today. could've gone better. punctured on the first lap of four. in the middle of nowhere on a country road. was sizing up the situation, when i hear "do you need any help?". wendy from the club happened to have chosen that piece of road to do a bit of spectating. nice one wendy! wheel sorted and hopped back on when the race came around again. died a death about a lap later. some horrible feeling going backwards through the field at a rate of knots and no puncture to blame

speed on the flat at times was super fast. amazing to see 100+ bikes stretched out in long a straight line. who the hell is the monster at the front? if nothing else, i'd a great view of all this, hanging on at the tail end

Well that was a savage race, the A1/A2 had 6 laps of a 17.5km lap, quick report, for the first 3 laps I was very active around the front of the group and went with moves but by god it nearly killed me I felt the pain!, it's not the hills it's the speed you go up them at and with 2 pro's in the group drivin it, trying to split the field you feel it, so on the 4th lap I went back into the group for a break, with a group already up the road I thought someone else could chase, going onto the 5th lap I got away in a group and it started to work so we got a gap and started to pick up a few riders who were dropped out of the main break, on the last lap we were the biggest chase group on the road with the around 12-15 up the road but in smaller group of 3's and 4s... we were never going to catch the riders up the road but there was still a few A2 prizes up for grabs, in the last 1km I ended up at the front of the group, looking around to see if any move were happen I lost concentration and ended up not following the bend in the road and was cycling on the grass verge, a buddy hop later to avoid a rock I was back on tarmac but the group was gone, the m.t.b skills came in handy! so just rolled in behind that group with the remainder of the bunch coming in a few minutes later. It was a hard race but enjoyed it all the same. A few pictures are on irishcycing, links below
