I know Morty is riding but are there any other EPIC riders giving it a lash?

well relieved to see the back of training. time to recliaim the bike for pleasure reasons

Haven't being well for the last 2+ weeks, but feeling I've got over the worst of it, so I'll be starting the Gorey today, hopefully it won't be too painful, I'll update later with how it went.
Good luck with it!!

Well done Morty
Savage
Steamer !!
Morty was in the break today and got 6th in todays stage. Im sure he'l put up a report later. Well done Morty.
I think he was 51sek down on the leader yesterday in around 50th place so he probably moved up after that.
Well done Morty, I hope your usual flying form has come back for good!

Well in all a good weekend, ended up getting a few results and some good training in for the RAS.
Stage 1 - 101km
This stage was very fast from the gun average speed at the end was around 46kph with 101km done in 2hr 13 mins, I stayed around the top 20 for all for the stage wanting to go with anything that tried to go but it was too quick for anything to stick, the speed up Hacketstown was fast and split the bunch. At the 45km mark I started to cramp badly and could just followed wheels, It could have being the virus I had or just not being on the bike in over two weeks, anyway it stayed together until around 6 km to go, until a small group formed with Ciaran Power, The group stayed away and got 19sec over our group which had around 70 riders in it. I rolled in in around 30th.
Stage 2 TT
6km time trial, I had a bad morning dont know what it was, but my time was 20sec slower than last year, after this stage I was around 50th on GC.
Stage 3 - 100km
4 laps of 25km around gorey with a climb on each lap, in short the race was being controlled and with a really strong headwind on one section and a strong side wind on another no one wanted to waste energy being out front all day. Going onto the last lap a small group of 4 got away, no one chased, cause of team tatics,my plan was to attack on the climb, and I did a few came over to me but we never really did any damage but what it did do was speed up the race and we caught the 4 riders who were away, the run in to the finish was quick and I managed 4th on the stage and was 45th on GC.
Stage 4 - 94km
Is Gorey back to Blessington, I wasn't really happy with how I was going so I decide that on this stage I would go from the gun and give it everything, and after one failed breakaway straight away another form around 6km into the stage which I was in their was around 20 of us with all the main clubs represented so we got a bit of leway. It rained all day and the group was a bit chaotic but we still had 2min going into the last 20km, I worked up to this point and then tried to conserve a bit of energy, the last 8km the speed went up and attacks started, I ended up 7th on the stage and with the time gap moved into 14th overall on GC.
Happy with the weekend but still not 100%, stamullen next week which is a hard race, with this and the next 6 weeks of hard training/racing hopefully i'll be strong enough to the RAS
there should be some pictures on
