Loved most of it but bit off my normal pace. That quinlan lad is like a feckin yoyo all over the shop, and as for Doris nearly killing us all on the bridge, he was like a cat on a hot tin roof.

108kms/1400mts climbing/4hrs13min for me! Cruel head wind over the Wicklow Gap and a puncture too! Caught up with Rob Tobin in Blessington and he kept me company down as far as Tallaght - amazing how much easier it is when you're not on your own! Good spin.

we saw the lonely Lynch lad on his tour of the roads of Ireland from our lovely seats in Lambe doyles, apparently while many people like Morty and Niall Quinlan are men of the RAS, and ALfie and Max etc are men of The Gory, Richard is aiming to become the Clubs first Man of The Bingo..I dont get it, he does more training than any of us and he uses it to pedal the hole off himself on Tarmac ! He should be out murdering us on the Mountains like a real man ! We had a deadly mountainbike spin..the highlight for me was John Doris ( a known Roadie ) pedalling straight up the horrible climb of misery outside Ballinastoe while the rest of us sought the path of least resisitance, he just turned on the afterburners and laughingly roasted all of us ! Now thats proper use of roadbiking power..
We still love Lynchy though !!
Well if I don't see some major improvements in the long XC races coming up I think I'll just shoot myself! Whatever chance I have of hanging in with you guys when conditions are dry I'd never have stayed with you today!
