Assuming the weather looks ok - I should be there Rob! And DOK too I think! Although given the way he was cycling last night he should be riding A3 not A4!!
I had intended to do this one Rob but I am off to Italy skiing next week so need to be around at home this weekend. Looks like a good one to do.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing you all again it's been a while!! By the way Richard I found my MTB was out in B'stoe yesterday..
The climb was fine last year, a longish drag and the pace was very steady, no one was successful or bothered to try and get away on the climb either in A4, it would be a boldish move as the run back to Navan is a pretty flat fast road, so one would want a nice strong breakaway to stay clear of a chasing bunch if that was the tactic. I thought it was a very good race last year. Its also one of the longer races on the calender, I think it comes in at about 83km. You dont see the finish as its off the lap, so at the end of last years race there were a few false alarms at the end, with people sprinting at the sight of hi vis jackets in the last few kms then to just ease off the gas again when it was clear that it was not the finish line...
- slow on the climbs
- finish earlier than advertised, catching everyone out
- finish in some village with kerbs on both sides, there was a big crash there in A3 and I had to hop onto the footpath to avoid it
