Hammond Memorial - Roundwood 8th May

I'll be doing it, anyone else?
There is a 5km climb in it, x2 for A4 and x3 for A3.

I'd love to but I think I'm being dragged out on the piss the night before. I'll see if my arm is sorted or how bad the hangover is.

Tossing up between this and the Blitz! Probably do the road race!

where is 5k climb ?

It's from gregorys garage in newtown up the hill.
It's measured with the same measuring tape that claims my flute is 12 inches.

Is that length or diameter?

So its really about a 7km climb then?? I hate it when race organisers tell you lies about the climbs,I'd have done this race,but now I know its longer than 5km uphill Im afraid to race.:o

Thinking of doing this on Sunday my first road race, any other A4's gonna give it a go?

That was a good race, although defo the hardest road race I've done so far. Long fast sketchy descent and then climb that goes forever. I went off the front very early with an orwell wheelers guy, who had a spill just in front of me on one of the turns I was left alone and I was swallowed and spat out by the lead group very quickly. Lost a lot of places but managed to slowly make my way back, finished with one of the smaller groups. Very hard on the legs, who said roadies can't climb??
