Newbridge Road Race
NEWBRIDGE CC RACE SAT 7th May This event will be staged out on the Curragh located near the Newbridge GP finish area NOTE all parking is on the Curragh Planes. Racing will be for A4 seperate race " A3s seperate race dependindg on numbers" while A2 A1 will be combined. In the event that the A3 numbers are insufficent Then they will join the A2 A1 and this event will be handycapped. Sign on will open at 9,00am racing for A4 11.am start Followed by racing for A3 A2 A1 start 12 50pm . NOTE " Race circuit is not the Newbridge GP Circuit .and is suitable for good racing . Right I have all the info on this one as I was just talking to Richie who's running it.
A3 race 40 - 44 miles seperate race also A4 same
A1 and A2 together 50 - 54 miles
You need to cycle out to a 5 mile circuit and back, this is part of the race and it's where the only two drags on the course are.

Well that was hard! It ended up a combined a1/a2/a3 race. The A3's got a 45 second headstart. I think we got caught after about 45 seconds. I got into a break with 2 A1's and an A2 after about 20k and we stayed away. An absolute horse bridged to us in the last 2k so there were 5 of us. The lads started their finishing messing but I was wrecked and left them to it and rolled in behind them in 5th. Chuffed to be first A3 and to get my first points.
