Sony Venus Pro but to be honest it really depends on hiw good your computer isas to hiw well it will work for you. Editing HD footage is pretty hardware heavy.

But you're right, for editing HD footage you'd want a decent up to date PC, or any Mac with a Final Cut on it.
I didn't find the GoPro footage that hard to edit as it's already compressed and much easier to handle than a raw HD material, still a bitch though!

Try with Windows Movie Maker - it's working very well:)
