Now..race season is just around the corner and we have no Saturday or Sunday spin leaders.
Now I don't care who runs them really, I would prefer it to be somebody thats
A. Not an arsehole and can run a safe and entertaining spin.
B. Not a goon ( we have ran in to this before ) who brings a group on an unrideable trail just because they can ride it or some fantasy trail they read about somewhere.
C. somebody thats very handy on the bike, they don't have to be the fittest just competent.
D. Very committed.
Saturdays are always going to be handy ones, they should be anyway, so Saturdays spin leaders still need to be very good.
The reason for this is, nobody is coming on my spins who doesn't race. Sorry, thats the one condition I have for them from now on. When I post a spin it will say FRO. And no, planning to race is not the same as racing. So until I give you the nod, no spin with me unless you are racing, that could be road,CX,XC, Adventure or DH..but you have to be a racer to go on my spins.
I was not one tiny bit impressed with the lack of support at todays race.
I was also not impressed that the only spin organised today was Terry's last minute one.
Step up people.
If you are going on a spin next Saturday or Sunday post it in the spins section. Even if you end up going on your own. People will eventually join you. I started EPIC with 2 people for weeks and weeks. Theres a lot of savages in the club that got that way because I forced myself to be patient. Now some of them would murder me in a race but they all remember what it was like at the start of their adventure.
We need a committed spin leader on Saturday and Sunday.
Not somebody running their own business or has children , they , for obvious reasons can never be relied on and they shouldn't even be allowed volunteer.
Theres loads of you mincing about on Sundays on your own, fine, but there must be some of you who want the power and the glory of being a Force for good at the weekends.
