well that was awesome..the best race yet..great racing, great organisation, thanks Graham and his team..Richard, Clom and Rob..the course, the course, what a course..some brilliant racing, some brilliant photos and yes, if those clowns from Think bike are there next week, I am visiting violence on them !! I can't believe the race was so poorly attended tonight, however it didin't stop everybody from having a great race, great craic in the pub with a smallish gang but a good gang all the same. The EPIC club race is the backbone of the CLub,make the effort to be there or one day you will wake up and it wont happen.
What a difference a week makes, course riding super smooth tonight. Had almost forgotten what dry conditions were like up there. My rear MudX was overkill but is actually a brilliant all round tyre, however, Alfie has hooked me up with the Next Big Thing, I'll be rocketing along next week. Took a gel for the first time during the race, not sure if it helped but it sure was tasty. The work on the first descent in section 1 was a master stroke, that has gone from being a health and safety grey area to a freaking roller coaster to berm, I love it. Jacqui destroyed me on the last climb, next time I'll know to pounce on the single track! Thanks to all the timers, great encouragement as always.
Thanks as always to the timers and helpers, really found it tiring, my lap times are pretty sh1te so hopefully next week I'll be in the zone, work is ruining my laps!! . Cheers really enjoyed it T
Great race tonight. Thank god the course was finally dryish. Nice one richie for all the work you do on it. Cheers to rob, graham nd co for the timing and for the burger rob. Its coming together now.
