The trail-vandal known as the "rock-dropper" has been captured on camera vandalising signs with a crowbar up at Ticknock carpark today.
Footage has been given to the Stepaside Garda who are going to call to his house today to confront him.
This will either have the effect of him stopping his activities or him going utterly crazy altogether.
If anyone is around Ticknock tomorrow between 8 and 10 am (when he usually arrives and parks near the barrier on the fireroad on the way up to Tom's in a silver Mazda 626 to walk his dogs - golden or white-ish Labs. and a Terrier/Collie cross ) can they please keep an eye out and report any dodgy activity by him to the Stepaside Garda station: Phone: 01 - 6665700.
If you feel comfortable recording video/pictures of him then do so and report back to this post.
Be aware though that he sounds a bit dangerous - don't confront him or endanger yourself in any way.
Hopefully we're at a stage now where this very dangerous carry-on can be stopped.

I think as a matter of our own safety and to positively identify this dangerous man we will need to see the video footage!...
Actually maybe every single mountain biker in dublin should be at the barrier near Toms tomorrow at 8, to give him a big friendly wave! Imagine the look on his face.
But how do we know he is the 'rock dropper', sounds more like a 'sign smasher' to me, who hasn't wanted to bate things with a crowbar every once in a while? We need to see the video!

im afraid i have to disagree with you , i doubt he will be ****ting himself about a court case but he might be more worried about hundreds of people who would like thump him knowing what he looks like.
There is a great PR opportunity here. I think one of the bike shops needs to sort him out with a bike and offer to bring him on spin, so he can see what he has been missing. Even if he does not accept or make peace think of the publicity for the good MTB'ers of Ireland.
