In all fairness though I'd give most internet users the credit of moving on if they don't find what their looking for, Mtbireland is pretty much dead, hardly anyone on the forum, IrishDH is grand for info and it's a well run site but yes over run with teenagers, this one 5th in the Google'mountain biking Ireland' search is not without it's faults, although I'd say it would scare away as many people as it attracts, I like it though. Most of the time.
In fairness, the Irish DH actual website is actually a good site - it provides news, race previews/reports, race calendar, photos etc.. which is all the basic DH requirements covered, similar to the IrishXC site - some news items, race results, a few rider bios and some product reviews etc.. all nice and independent and unbiased
The nature of DH is such that it's more exciting to kids, thus more kids on the DH forum than general XC ones, and kids talk like kids - not much you can do about that, and the adults sometimes talk like kids too, worse even, moderators only have time to moderate any nasty stuff etc..

When i were nipper irishdh or bray dh as it was in its 1st form was a great place to talk about cycling and new bits such as red DX v brakes etc. as well as race info and the rest.
I reckon the site is the same (apart from the massive improvement thanks to michael,tina Gav etc) except the user age has stayed the same. I moved on to epic and younger folk jumped on to irishdh. let them have there fun. we have are fun here which much look equally nuts if not more so comopared to how we look at there posts.
As my forum posting to actual riding ratio is massively tipped in favour of the former i think this is one subject that I can give my opinion on without abuse.
