MTB Rendezvous Sunday 23rd September 2012

Hi guys, the MTB rendezvous is the brainchild of MTB legend John Pennefather, we've been talking about it for ages and finally its kicking off..the idea is.
Ride Offroad to Knockree Youth hostel , between Enniskerry and Glencree and be there for 12.00 noon on Sunday 23rd September.
Its free, its all about the Sunday Spin and there are free refreshments when you get there..
Its not a race , its just a mass particpation day out on the bike..I will be leading the main EPIC one for Savages..we will be running a Ladies group and a not so savage group. I just need a leader from the Ladies to take that one and a Leader for the not so savage to run that.
The Savage loop will be from lambes to Ticknock, to Tibradden, to Cruagh, to Featherbeds, Glencree,
Cloon, Knockree. leaving at 9.30 on Sunday 23rd. Even if you are a savage from another club you will be welcome, or a non club member, it makes no difference.

I'll be doing this at 'social pace' from Ticknock which means slow / no one left behind kinda stuff. Anyone can join me or I'll do it on my tod either way sure we'll make a day of it.

I like the sound of your journey Adrian, I might have to check the sprogs into the rarest kennel!

mehmehmehmeh..whingwhingewhingewhingewhinge..my wife had a babby, I can't keep me micky to itself i never heard of porno , so I never ride my bike so I am a 3rd world MTBer..you make me sick !!

I have that Sunday off,a rare event,so Im to make the most of it and do Richies spin.Cant wait!!

What's confession?

In preparation for the roc, going to be doing a long one for this. About 3 hours to the hostel, starting in enniskerry. And then 1-2 hours after with options to bail. Won't be savage pace, but will keep moving. Nice route with very little road. Anyone welcome. Will post more details closer to the day.

I will be going from roundwood with Paul to ballinastoe, ww, the hulk trail, enduro stage 5 trail in djouce, djouce to crone and crone to knockree if anyone wants to join in, safe parking at ours and we are probably going to do a shuttle so lift bk to roundwood after all the burgers;-)

nobody is to drive anywhere near this..its a Mountainbike social event..the purpose is to bring MTBers together, no cars at the Venue please. Its all about the Sunday spin. Cycle to the spot, have the craic and then cycle home or to where you parked your car if you are from out of town. The object is to ride to and from the venue..Orla has the right idea.

Aine that sounds deadly.... I might join you from round wood - something completely different - will know soon.
