I went up today to have a look with a small gang of us Enduro riders..
Its a treat, I mean amazing, some of the best stuff I have ever ridden..I can't wait to go back up there with everybody. the XC loop is 30 savage km of riding and now I'll have to get a DH bike just to be able to ride the amazing DH trails they have now !!
Absolutely brilliant buzz about the place..if they had used their foresight here to build a proper car park and 30km of trails designed by a rider, Ticknock would be unbelievable.
now I know they are purpose built and I have to be honest I don't care, you can ride them so fast and the location is unbelievable..
A weekend in Carlingford with the Cooleys on the Saturday and the Rostrevor trail on the Sunday would be a weekend well spent ..its amazing. great to see the DH tracks being built when you consider the shambles Luglass was !
yes ,I will post the details tomorrow..I am doing the XC on the Sunday and the Enduro on the Monday...I cant do the DH because I have no bike for it.. the DH track requires an actual DH bike..very scary..
Cheers byrner missed u in killarney today u would have nailed that course, it was fcuking deadly, I'll be sticking to just the xc the forecast is for snow
lets get a big contingent from EPIC at this..no frickin whinging about the distance..and enter the Enduro as well while you are at it..these trails are amazing !!
yeah there are some great trails in kilbroney the climb alone was worth the view over carlingford lough ,a lot of folks traveled up from dublin as the car park was full of bikers there is endless single tracks over some big mountains, i wont be able to make it next weekend as i have family duties but would highly recommended it .
