Hi everybody,
This is a difficult post me for but the time has come for me to move on from the Club. EPIC has been a huge part of my life since its inception some 10 years ago, over that time, some of the best of times have been spent with you guys on spins and at the Club races. It has been a wild ride over the years, will lots of changes and some difficult times, but I will have nothing but fond memories of the one and only club I have ever been a part of. I'd like to thank you all for the good times and great memories. I wish the club every success, and look forward to seeing you on the trails.

This morning I sent Alfie the email below, which hopefully explains the reasons.
Hi Alfie,
I hope you are keeping well. I wanted to let you know that after much, difficult deliberation I have made a very difficult decision and decided that the time has come to leave EPIC. It is not a decision that comes easy and out of courtesy I wanted to let you know first. I feel a huge sense of loyalty to the club and the EPIC brand. For the last 10 years the club has been a huge part of my life.
As you know I have been riding a bit with the Giant lads on the big mountain spins as those are the spins I enjoy, much like the EPIC spins of old. I have ridden with them steadfastly as an EPIC rider, to Richies frustration no doubt. But it has come to a point though where it does not feel fair to belong to a club with whom I rarely contribute, or to ride with another club under a different banner.
This is in no way a political decision or taking sides, I think we have all moved on from that. I have great affection for EPIC and its members, and hope remain on good terms, I also hope that I will still be welcome on the occasional spin and at the club league. If I can also help out professionally then I am happy to do so. I wish you and the club every success.
