At a recent committee meeting we decided it about time we had a club trip!
Were talking biking a mix of Enduro and xc at a pace compatible with everyone having the craic along the way!
So time to get the permission slips in and cash in the brownie points for a night away with the club!
Loose plan of action:
On the bikes in Ballyhora at say 12 bells, do a good four hours or more on the bike mix of the trail centre and gravity trails plenty of breaks for snacks, picture and the like.
Then head back to the Ballyhora hostel in Ardparick, this is the ritz of hostels brand new, bike washes, secure lock up, showers, great communal areas, great kitchen and the most comfortable beds and spacious rooms.
Sure have a look at the website: http://www.ballyhourahostel.ie
Ive have been talking to Seamus and there is plenty of availability for that weekend
For an evening meal we have a few options which we can decided on closer to the time:
2 course meal in the hostel â¬20
The chipper
Or cook up a big meal
Then a few mandatory club oranges in one of the local establishments of course
Then grab breakfast in the hostel Sunday morning and on to bike park Ireland for the uplifts
Plenty if availability there too
Suit yourselves there with a half day or a full day.
It gets messy collecting money and booking for a big group so best off to book your own hostel and uplifts I hope people are ok with this?
Ballyhoura hostel no. 063 91625
And the bpi uplifts are done through the website http://www.bikeparkireland.ie
Yahoo lets get as many people as possible!
