Great spin on the Saturday Terry took from the hostel off road for about 10km which took us to the trail head, where we meet Oscar and Harri. We then did the white trail taking in the new technical section which are deadly big high berms, nice rock gardens and a few drops to keep things interesting. Not to mention the sun came out and it was a cracking day. Then back to the hostel shower, clean the bikes, dried the gear hop in the sauna then on for a three course dinner with wine and a few pints.

After a great sleep in the sleep in the hostels and a good bowl of porridge for coffee we hit the road for BPI it lashed the whole way missed the first uplift by a minute but it was a blessing as it was pissing rain and it stop just then so we got a good two hour of rain free riding before the heavens open on the last run before lunch. So I left it at that and hit the road for home. Great spot altogether did the green, blue, then the red and black a couple of time.

Great crack altogether sure we'll have to get away somewhere next year too.
Thanks again

Thanks Christ for organising the weekend.
I had never been in Ballyhoura, so it was for me a good opportunity to get away for a great weekend in very good company.
I was amazed with the quality of trails you can have there, mostly single tracks with plenty of berms, ramps, technical areas etc... Very recommended to anyone willing to enjoy and abuse their bike in their fast flowing trails. They are very clean and well maintained, with plenty of grip.
We went to BPI on Sunday, but having a flu stopped me from getting the bike out in the wet. Delighted to have been there for my first time though, so next time there won't be excuses.
Sure we need to organise more weekends away with the club, see you lads out in the next adventure.
Have you all a good week.

can only repeat what was said above - great fun was had by all, the hostel in Ballyhoura / Killfane was amazing - so well made for bikers! drying rooms, bike lock up, private parking, nice rooms, big kitchen , sauna - great altogether. Had a great time with the lads biking mad! Ballyhoura has gotten a lot better with the new trails! very good, the warning signs seem to be keeping folk off them- yippiee! ha ha!

BPI is great fun too- has to be done once. As a club we were flying - Colm on his 29er hardtail was passing folk out big time - he was like a man at the DH worlds or something! (I managed a few schalps myself!) everyone took a tumble but no one was broken up too bad (that said I left at lunch - was soaked to the bone at that stage), i had a massive crash I couldn't believe I just bounced up from it! great fun. Colm, Mick and Darragh stayed on to give the locals a lesson! the place was packed to the max, really good atmosphere - the kinda thing you have to do at least once in your life - well worth it.
