After a few years absence I'm determined to return to the Roc D'Azur this year! Before I get too old (Yes I know you're years older Terry O'N!) I would like to complete the Roc Marathon - 85kms/2500mts.
The Roc is always run in early October in Frejus in the South of France. It is by far the biggest mountain biking event in the world and is really a "must visit at least once" for any mountain biker. This years event runs from Wednesday 5th to Sunday 9th October. The relevant races are the Masters on the Thursday, Marathon on Friday and Roc D'Azur on the Sunday. In the past most of us have ridden in two races - the Masters and then the Roc!
At this stage I'm thinking of just riding in the Marathon this year but could be persuaded to potter around the Roc if there were other people going!
Entries open on February 25th and I'm really just sticking up this post to see if anyone has any interest in making the trip?
