Well done to everyone involved in organising today's race. You could tell A whole heap of time and effort went into it on the weeks leading up to race day, as it ran so smoothly. The sign on tent was good fun with you lot, and thanks Adrian for sorting sign on it was flawless! Big thanks to all the marshals too, the encouragement got me through the race, and up those nasty climbs! Tough day on the bike, I felt I was done after the first lap, but somehow managed to drag my butt around a few more.
Well done to young Brendan on his first place....legend!
Great day for the club. Was great to do a bit of marshalling-would have loved to race-but-it looked really tough. Still the weather behaved and it was great to see everyone. Well done especially to my namesake Terence, superb organising from u and Bon and all the team.
Great to see our club so together . The organisers and racers all put on a fantastic show . The heart of Epic beats strongly . I feel so proud to have been part of it.
Firstly, huge congrats to all those involved in organising today's races. It was really well done from, pardon the pun, start to finish. I know that the committee have been very hard at work on this for weeks now and that work paid off in spades today. Thanks also to Max, his work behind the scenes goes unnoticed but without his efforts over the past few years I don't think we would have the quality of XC racing that we had today.
Secondly, a big shout out to all the marshals for their support and direction throughout the course. Particular mention has to go to Gary Coyne and Micky D who manned the barrier at the car park and dealt with all the irate punters who would not to be discommoded by a few mountain bikers.
Congrats to Nevile and Brendan on their successes today - it was a tough course and getting any place was hard won. To win the race, as Brendan did was a great result
Finally, congrats to all the racers who toughed it out on what was a challenging course over, six laps for those in S1 and 5 laps for S2 men and five for Erica in S1 women. The S3 men got off easy with 3 laps (honest, I would have loved another one!)
Great day. Wouldn't have got going without oz's mechanical skills and Terry's powerlink (will get you back on Thursday, think that's been on your handlebars for some time! ). Was missing the three lowest the gears so made the laps tougher than they should have been.
Led for most of the second lap, from the start of xtc to the very last bend in the forest before the finishing loop. Wtf happened the brain, 3 offs in that lap and just basically bottled it, gobshite! Should have been a comfortable first (in s4).
Good craic doing the numbers with bon for the senior races, commissaires took the sheet so fingers crossed it's not holding up the results
