First I heard of it .... very keen but not sure I'd be ready for 8 hrs!!

You dont have to cycle for the 8 hours... its simply how much ground you cover in that 8 hours.

Longest spin I've done this year is 3.5 hours ... but if there's a gang going!! People staying up there the night before?

Nah the NPS is the weekend before, though there's no venue/club announced yet to run it...
