Deadly some atmosphere up there stayed till stage 4 . Fair play to Greg delighted for him. Richie rude was very impressive so fast jumping everything and the speed of him. Some amount of punchers seen Martin Mayer puncher on stage 3 and the seen him send her down stage 4 on the rim. Seen some lad puncher both wheels on stage 2 that would be some kick in the stones! Well done to Robin, killian and leah on there wins to heard Robin was very fast from others.

Went up there on Saturday and cycled around the different sections with Adrian, plenty of comments on the puncture situation , Schwalbe or Continental should have sponsored it!
What a weekend...too many events.

An unbelievable day in Carrick yesterday with 4 out of the 5 top spots going to Irish riders - Greg, Robin, Leah Mansaul and Killian Callaghan - an incredible achievement, shows what talent there is here. Unfortunately Stevo was unwell and unable to start, a big disappointment for him, so it was just myself and Jon Willets from the club. Long tough day in the saddle (6.5 hours!) but the course was riding great and the support on the hill was unreal, even from early morning. I was relieved to finish in one piece with no crashes or mechanicals even if a tad disappointed with my time. Thanks to everyone that supported and shouted, it makes you push a little harder for sure.

Wonder if it will come back for next year, seems to be extremely popular, even RTE News and the Indo mentioned it.....

I'm not sure that Niall will look for it again ... I think he really struggles to get even close to break even! And they've been really blessed with the weather over the last couple of years!

Ah I highly doubt that's the case at all...


Though maybe Carrick mountain will get a break for a year, I hear it's gotten pretty cut up from overuse?
