Burren MTB Challenge

Thinking of giving this a lash, cool part of Ireland and interesting terrain to ride on. Don't think it's a race but we can turn it into one

Date: Saturday 3rd September
Location: Ballyvaughan, County Clare
Start time: Long route 9am (70km approx, exact tbc)
Short route 10am (46km, approx exact tbc)
Updated Cost: €60 with hoodie/ € 50 without- hoodies can be bought on the day.
Included: organised cycle through Aillwee Caves
branded hoodie- optional
Access to hidden private trails in the Burren
Food stops and drinks

Bit expensive with travel costs so I'd be looking for passengers in the van (can take 2). Between 3ppl it should work out around 25e a head with tolls etc.

I might give this a crack - there's only 1k of climbing over the 70k, and the climbs look to be on fireroads - and his strava has it done in less than 4 hours - would this be handy enough, i.e. compared to the Cooley??

Or is the terrain horrendous to cycle on???

I'd say it's easier / faster than Cooleys

It's 500km round trip Caroline with 2 tolls on the way, it's a guesstimate alright but I don't think I'm far off!
