I see coillte took some machines to the shizzle. It's completely gone from top to bottom. I'd say a week's work went in to it. Can we expect more mass destruction? Is it just a coincidence that this happens same time as the order to stop felling and review their business.

They certainly made sure it will never be opened again. Poor Fergal must be distraught, years of work gone into it. Safety seems a bit more logical, conspiracy a bit more fun. Rise up!
The area manager hasn't been happy about for a long time, they even approached the Off-road Commission through DMI to ask whoever built the shizzle to close it and block the crossing points.
That wasn't going to happen obviously so eventually they took it down themselves, I'm not at all surprised.
To have to cross the official trail in so many places was a daft idea to start with.
You would get into serious trouble trying the same in Scotland or Wales!
Talking about felling, the top part of Ewocks in Glendo has been felled - the bit from the fireroad down to the bridge. After the bridge is untouched but you have to navigate your way down through the felled section first and it's not so easy to find.
We found a different way down but I'd say it's rideable although you might need to clear some branches etc . The entrance is about 10 metres to the right of where the tree line currently ends but that's likely to change :)
