Lyme disease

Unbelievable documentary about Lyme Disease and Tick bites. I couldn’t believe how many Ticks are literally under the leaves.
I actually can’t believe not more of us have caught this.
Well worth watching.
I know Trenchy had a close call so let’s be careful out there. As they say

I bought a tick card and never had to use it until my first day mountain biking in Scotland this September. Best to check for ticks after every spin.

We check after being out in places where they might be hanging round all the time, we check over the kids in particular and have found ticks on them a good few times. I saw that documentary last night too, didn’t see them mention Tick-borne encephalitis, which is in France and south of England and is meant to be a right *******. If you get the tick off within a few hours you should be fine. So check as soon as you can after being out. Tweezers as close as you can you to your skin and try to to leave any of the buggers bits behind, that’s the current guidance (used to be advice like out butter or oil on them or even burning them off!!). One other thing .... check everywhere ... you’d be amazed.
