Club League rnd 3 results

ok then
After a bit of fiddly-diddly with the timing system, you no longer need to register each week in order to race - this is good news for the timekeepers too

You will however need a RACE NUMBER, and if you have been assigned one, you need your START TIME.
If you don't have a number, I can assign one to you, if you don't have a start time, Richie will sort you out.

Timekeepers:
Ideally you need 2
The starter will ensure everyone sets off at their correct time, when all riders are off, the starter will head up to the lap timer person and give them a hand
calling out the riders numbers and roaring at them to move their arses etc Harri is especially skilled in this area, take note of his advanced methods.

Shout out your number clearly as you pass the finish line each lap - especially when ye are in a bunch

I'll post the race nums and start times on Thursday
I'll do all that I can do to help.
I'll keep shouting, I can enter the numbers too, if needs be. If I don't have help this week I can do the number entry & the shouting!!! Not a problem, but to reitterate what Fergal has said - please shout loudly - towards the end of the race there's a lot of people about so it gets very difficult to hear the riders numbers especially when in groups! Thanks to all!
Deadly deadly deadly! Some racing tonight, Super dry. Thanks again for the timers!

With my output up to 959.89Kn/m I was 17.86% better than last week. Can wait to put all the details in my blog...
yeah cheers to the timers and spectators..i think my handicap jiggery pokery worked out well, everybody seemed happy with their handicaps.
next week it'll be a bit better as I even out the little differences..i'll do the league after 3 races tomorrow after I get the results.
Fair play to everybody racing and helping out..
That is the best track in the world, great to see so many other clubs and people giving it a lash..
That was savage, cycling up from Palmers instead of getting dropped at Barneys helped loads.

Thanks to whoever that was in the mad jersey that kept shouting encouragement at me, it kept me going. never did get your name though.

hopefully I'll get to all of these, there deadly.

Although I would like to make a complaint about a certain timing person pulling me off my bike at the end of the first lap, he got a good kick in return though.
First race tonight. Found the first two laps tough as i lost my way!! Cant wait for next week, hopefully ill see a big improvement on my times.

That wouldn't be cummins by any chance. Nothing like being chased with a dead bird on the end of a stick to make you go faster

ok, results attached, but there's a few that are suspect that I don't know what to do with (eg; Beth's) and a few I've had to correct them where I can.

Now - let's be clear - YOU NEED TO REMEMBER YOUR NUMBER AND CALL IT OUT LOUD & CLEAR!!
Otherwise the results get screwed up - and I've better things to be doing than scanning through results on a Thurs night trying to fix things so please make the effort.
Calling out someone else's number is just not on - it makes a total mess of your and the other person's results.
Put a sticker with your number on the top tube of your bike if you can't remember your it.
If the timekeeper doesn't hear your number then call it out again nice and loud.

Now that the grump is done - that was brilliant racing tonight, though I'm throwing these tyres in the bin, I should have known better than to buy tyres named after a mythological serpent-haired she-bitch but I'll know better next time.
Everyone was well spaced out which worked very well - great stuff - thanks to John and Gav for the times, and the bold Joey Tempest lurking in the woods slapping people on d'arse keeping them moving
Savage race tonight. The handicapping made it tough to catch people. The pace was very quick tonight and it's only the third week! Sub 10minute lap by the end of the league?? Cheers to Epic and the timekeepers.

that's either the vocalist from those glam rock supermos of old - Europe,
or that other lads that likes to push lads across fireroads during races,
though to look at them, you'd think butter wouldn't melt in their mouth....
