Djouce 2 days of slime

Howdy,
yesterday, i rerouted my DH spin to Djouce due to the monsoon up in Cloon..
Myself, karlos, Carol, sean and Tim braved the downpour and off we went ..I was on my Peeler which made life interesting going up the red road and the earls drive..it was savage wet and the place was in bits.
Great fun in spots as it was Carols first time down Alans trail and all she did was take a chunk out of her helmet..
Today i rerouted the hardman freeride spin to Djouce again where Alfie, Sean, Me, BON , Killian, Tim and The Eamo went again..this time I was armed with my Patriot, an altogether better proposition..
And it was a deadly spin..some crack coming down Alans trail this time..less wet but more slidiness..I will put up a video later.
We also saw Don and his merry men out and about..fair play to them bad boys..
Loads of people stayed in the scratcher playing with whatever the Good Lord gave them and cursing the Weather and the island we live on..
But I also curse it but we still go out..
If you are going to be a mountainbiker, you had better accept the fact that you are going to get wet and mucky..
anyways..the miniDH section is being ridden to death and cut up pretty badly..but I will be chaining peple to it to fix it up, so I'm not worried..

Robins deadly off camber singletrack as usual was a joy to ride..it is truly the finest piece of track in Ireland..better than Alans, better than the EWOKs, better than Katy Gollagher..and much better than the Mini DH track..shame on us and our crap trailbuilding skills..
get up the yard !!I though I was going to collapse after Alfie dented that tree,, Everytime I go down Alans track I keep thinking " this isn't right, your not supposed to be able to ride this.."
The best descent ever..hell yeah..

I think people should ease of the NPS track for a while, it truly was an animal yesterday, a sliddery, carved up root fest. Robins off camber in the wet is a good spot to perfect your dapping technique, and your crashing technique. Ack on the other hand was flat out bliss, its should have been another root nightmare but just put the boot down and sail over all the trouble. A much underrated trail. We also did a bit of good old fashioned trail hunting which was an abject failure, trying to link up the red road to the top of the Earls drive, not to be repeated.

Oh yes and since its been a while since I've mentioned tyres, I'll say this, tubeless with low pressures, on a day like yesterday, well you need to experience it to understand. I bought my Ignitors a box of Roses on the way home.

Dapping, eh? I believe this is a particularly boring kind of fishing.

And remember Ack was meant for going UP!

Yeah, in the same way Ecstasy is meant for going up, when will you people stop this madness.
