Friday Dig Leadmines 5.30 - 7.00ish

I will be working on my new track..loppers and sheers are a good idea..maybe a mattock or two !

I might actually be talked into making it out for this... any chance you could bring my mattock?!

does your mattock look different to the other mattocks? is it Pink or something?

It used to be distinguishable by the name Basil written on both ends of the shaft. This faded over time, so now it looks like an ordinary mattock - usual wooden shaft (muddy) with head that was originally black (now battered and muddy). Definitely not pink. I reckon I could identify it in a line-up of mattocks.

yes..the club ones have Blue heads !

now i warn you, we are not at the pretty stage, but most of you have never seen trails at this stage..
I call it The Genesis stage..when we are finished on Friday we will be able to call it the something stage..
I strongly urge long pants, long sleeves and heavy boots !!
A flame thrower will be useful..

Presumably when we leave on Friday that will be the Exodus stage? If we get decent Numbers we'll do a good Job, well in time for the moment of Revelation.

Just feckin remembered I've a wedding to go to on Fri so won't be able to make this after all...

We'll have to wait and see what the bridesmaids look like.. I can probably go up any evening next week so let me know if your heading up and we'll teach those brambles a thing or two...

Fridays the only day I can manage at the moment i'm afraid..but hey we might be able to sort something out, we've plenty of time to get her ready!

Have just raided the shed, found a shovel, rake, pickaxe yokey, and a bush saw!

Wheres the best place to park? don't they close the car park at 5pm in the winter?
