Club Downhill Champs results

Well here you go the results from todays club downhill champs. Thanks to everyone for coming out it was good craic. Special thanks to Alan Ayling, Gary, Killian, and Jack for help with the timing and tape putting up and taking down. All in all a great day out on the mountain and it didn’t lash rain. Watch out for Alfie and Luke in next years downhill running championship they were pinning it today. I’ll have some pictures up tomorrow. Cheers

Once again Adam, well done. I hadn't a bleedin clue what I was doing !! impressive times allround ...the craic at the top with Alfie was priceless !! more of you people should have supported this..fair play to Adam for giving up his race and great to see Killian in his new club admin role!!
when I arrived down near the end and Luke and Alfie came running after me waving their arms and Luke had a massive running sideways dab I thought I was going to destry myself I was laughing so much..then the Greg lad joined in and I really thought I was at the Mad people of Cloons race for the mental!!

Everyone was flyin

that was brilliant craic - I really enjoyed myself, the nerves were eating me alive, thought i'd see more first timers out!

You can't see much / enough out of a full-face helmet! had some laugh! thanks to Adam & all my Epic buddies! that was some day!

John, you're a legend...how you didn't start crying at the top with the amount of abuse you were getting.
Alfie -" Number 11 John ?...jaysus..thats bad luck..really bad luck!!"

It was worse when he started pulling at my helmet thinking I had a twist off head!
That was some craic, looking at the times I wasn't the total disgrace I thought I'd be! Thanks be to feck. It was good fun! next time 2 runs - defo!

What an amazing day!! xc for breakfast and craic with downhill attempt for lunch. John, that was some abuse you got up top!

ah here they shouldn't sell 6 bottles of Chateau Woggawogga 2009 in Lidl for €20 !!

Classic pictures Richie, I have to say I was really impressed with all the lads coming out and having a go, racing can be daunting for the most experienced Dh racers so the fact there was a good few non downhillers out having a blast was great to see. Fair play to John for getting off the start ramp, Gary for pulling off a great result in the vets along with Victor and Bren. Young lad Chris Murphy was flying so was Greg on his XC bike, and to Silvia being the lone lady. There are a few pictures for you in here.

I can see Epic storming the IMRA league next year!
