But the thing about Donadea got me thinking - how about it as a possible venue for one of the suggested XC series next year? Donadea is pretty flat (actually very flat), but no more so than a certain park in Tallih which has been used for XC races recently. It has an extensive fire road network and a lof of pretty sweet forestry, at least it did last time I was in there. I don't know what Coillte's stance on it would be, but I could find out - I know the lady whose name is given as a contact. Perhaps they'd be OK for a once off event even if cycling is not normally welcome in the park.
