Remote mic headset

We are looking to buy a remote mic head set, hands free etc.. for thr XC Nationals and other races. We normally hire one for Richie's Race commentary but we are looking to buy one for the club.

Does anyone know about these things and where to buy one from.

Ask the people who we hire it from have they any they will sell, alternatively ask them where they buy them from.

Thomann.de is a good place to get this kinda gear for generally a lot less than they are here off the shelf.

I presume you mean a wireless mic rather than remote mic...??

Thomann are great but based in Germany I think.. they have a huge range of equipment..

Big selection here from Germany - but as Gery says - there are Irish companies who sell this gear too! But this link might give you a bargaining tool!

There's an AKG sports one on here for 169 - it's anti-sweat (with respect to the mic) and looks light?

I wouldn't want to rely on getting a mic from Thomann before the nationals.
(I know people who are very happy with them BUT others have had to wait over a month to get their stuff...)

Sennheiser are supposed to be the most reliable mics
