I need assistance in the form of the lend of a bike. Its for a visiting dignitary who will be here on the weekend of 11/12 October. He wishes to ride some Dyfdd Tracks. He needs a large all mountain bike (5 inch travel max) for the two days. He is an experienced rider in his own right and I will be with him the whole time so the bike will be in good hands.
If anyone can help, or knows someone who can help it would be much appreciated.
Yeah, I’ll have to invent some more dignitaries and wind up having a go on everyone’s bike. I was waiting for Ross to offer me that gate he gave yer man on Sunday? Anyway this punter normally rides a 19 inch (I think that is large). We will be down in Ballyhoura as well so will need it for the two days. The Ballyhoura trails are long non technical rides, so I think I need something a bit lighter but with shorter travel than some of those (thanks for the offers though). Carls is probably ideal if you reckon an M will fit a tall bloke. Al, what’s the morewood like, is she a heavy beast?
By the way it’s the President of IMBA, he is coming over from the states to sort out some upstarts at a conference in the UK and wants to pop in here to see out Dyfdd tracks while he is in the vicinity. Visited us last time he was in Europe two years back, I think we made an impression.
the morewood is a medium it weighs a little over 30 lbs and has nearly 7" of travel so it might be a bit much. I'd probably take marks pimp ship as its a bit lighter.

Well apart fom the Trance I'm afraid my collection of yokes is limited to nonsensical road bikes, hardtails or weird German things which is what you would be referring to there....
If he is really tall, I have a size large Scott ransom, fitted with riser bars, it has adjustible rear suspension lockout and _> /4inch/6inch, it weighs about 36lbs might be too heavy for ya.., but you can cycle it anywhere. At front fork is blown but will get fixed by then I reckon.
Sean, you can borrow one of my bikes if you like. Mostly size M, lightweight hardtail (RM coloured IF Ti HT, AKA "The light one"), or lightweight full susser (Kona King, AKA "the blue yoke").
Looks like the lapierre will fit the bill .Its in great nick and should fit anyone up to 6ft.I use time attack pedals so he may want to bring his own.Contact me near the time if you need it.
