Ok..i'm going to talk to a man about the Website and design.
So what would you like to see on the front page ?

I'll be going with a history of the club, all the Club Champs, as many of the Club leagues as I can dig up ,our events and reviews of our events.
We'll also have a gear review section
A training records section ( hill climbs, etc)
a FAQ
a page with links
and a gallery , a really good gallery !
so fire away with the ideas please and remember I always have my finger on the button.

Calendar view for past and future events.
As you said a decent gallery section. The way zenfolio.com present photos are nice. How about a video section aswell.
Review section on trails, official and non-official trails, could be expanded into reviews of trails abroad.
Garmin section.
A section for technical bike questions so as to get rid of the constant questions like what tyre should i use etc.
A gallery for the EPIC bikes and list of spec would be cool.
The floating gallery you have at the top of your blog is good but if it was at the bottom of the homepage with the top rated pictures in a slideshow it would be great but thats just my view
with basic info on bikes/gear etc, including a glossary of terms section, FAQ's and useful links, and perhaps a place for newbies to ask basic questions.
Youth Section:
if the club is trying to encourage younger kids to get involved in the sport, maybe a section for them,for spins etc or for the kids parents to discuss sfuff ?
Maybe a list of trails and gps maps for members only!
if you have GPS of the trails, that means you have Long/Lat co-ordinates, which makes it an easy link-up with the google maps API. If you have no GPS, then just let members add trails to the map manually using pins.
Then you have an area where can navigate your way through all the logged trails in ireland ... zoom in and out, members post pics that they've taken on those trails, reviews, ratings, satellite view, terrain view, etc etc) ... all in a frame within an Epic page, no god damn pop-ups.
ok..there will not be a trails section unless they are the official ones. So you are wasting your time suggesting it, my answer to that suggestion is, go on spins and pay attention to where you are going, **** all people in this club bother to look around then when they are out there.
And theres a dozen other reasons why we won't but thats my favourite!

It will be very simple with a deadly gallery and announcements, articles and regular features.
And thats about it..
I'd appreciate a few links to really good sites though..
