Dun Loaghaire Rathdown County Council Sports partnership

Howdy,
I had a meeting this morning with the DLRCOCO Sports partnership officer and combined with the work Sean did with the parks dept, its looking good for running events in DLRCOCO parks.
So basically i need a couple of people who are willing to do the Child protection Course. With me ,of course.
I will take the responsibility for the Clubs Child Welfare Officer job and i'm going on the Forum for Sports Partnership ( more details to follow) which means we will be represented at local Government level.
Several of you hve been absolutely brilliant with your support and I'm confident that the future is pretty good for mountainbiking, regardless of the doom and gloom in Greedyland..

Does anybody know what the park is like up in Shankill..near the Graveyard..?

If I say 'deadly' do I get a kicking? Not sure about Shankill, I've only seen it from the funky playground, it looks fierce flat. The Park in Cabinteely has some nice contours to it.

I could have a kids race supported by a cross race !!...then I could put an idea in that a jump park would be good..

Count me in for that course. I'm keen to see the underage thing develop.

Shankill pk very flat but you could put in some singletrack in forest areas and link them up on tarmac paths .Good parking facilities.Cabinteely pk better as more hills.Put me down for child protection course.We will need protection when the sprockets turn on us for making them suffer pain.
