Club XC Champs Results 2008

Thank you to everybody who raced today and to the supporters and timekeepers.
Fantastic savage racing ,4 laps of the course. Oscar is the 2008 Club Champ Experts Champ , Carol is the Ladies champ and Rudolf is the Sports XC Champ.
very poor turnout from the Club, a big thank you to Cait and Oisin from UCD for always giving it socks and adding to the races.
Thanks to Sylvia,Marc and Earl, for recording the laps and Ciaras Dad, Sophie and Cian for cheering everybody on.
heres the results including Oisin and Cait but unfortunately as Non members ( big pity) they don't get trophies.

Fair play to Oz, a well deserved result!

Yeah absolutely 100% deserved to the Oz..fair play to Paulo, he just kept going..

yeah great race - didn't see anything much of Oisin and Oz after the start but had a good race with Roo and Alfie who refused to show any respect to an old man!

well fair play Justin, all I could see was Ross and he was hallucinating that Cait was Oisin..
I can't believe Roo was singing Kate Bush to himself and Ciaran admitted to owning her greatest hits album..

great race, and happy with my second in the sports. might of given Rudolf a bit more of a race if it wasn't for the rude fecking women walking down our new section.!!

thanks for the support around the track. but it was a shame more club members did come along and give it ago.

deadly..fair play to the 2 girls..do you remember lads when it was savage to do 3 laps of the old course..
I had some craic with Rossco..all the way through my last lap...he should get a medal for the most abuse ever..I think i slagged him from every angle..
well done lads..and girls...it would have been great to see everybody there..but thats people..
all I ask is for people to get behind what we do and cheer each other on..
How hard would that be to do..
as far as I'm concerned I'm delighted with Oscar being Club Champ, he deserved it, hes a great Xc rider and a great guy.
Ciaran was the only DNF due to a mechanical and hats off to killian, with the big smiley savage head on him..its people like himself and Karlos that are the reason I haven't retired.
Genuine guys with loads of skill and commitment who never fail to make me laugh, unlike Roo, who is a miserable bastich with no sense of humour !!
get up the yard !!! i can't wait for Sunday..

great racing,i hope i'm as savage as justin may when i'm 65 years of age the man just digs so deep.great shame more people dont take advantage of these events,its not just about the race people its getting out with the the club and having the craic

Absobleedinlutely.....great course with a great club....with a great bunch of folk who love ridin their bikes....

Dont know how many times iv been around the club course but it is always deadly.....

That was rough as a bears arse!!!! it was nice to have that last lonley lap to reflect on my poor cycling schedule. glad i did it though.

4 laps on sunday morning 10 o,clock what more do you want well, a pint after in Palmers sitting in the sun. Briljant day. Thanks to everyone who was there. Jack you just had to cycle through the gorse to avoid this woman. no pain no gain

That was one hell of a race, thanks to Karl for the great start and my beach-cruiser-turbo-trainer! Oz was so hot, I couldn't get near the heat! So many legends out there lighting up the club course. Can't wait for sundays! your mine Byrnes!! We're All so lucky and goodlooking!!!
