My first club race in 3 years I think.... started off with young Terry and passed him early on, then waited for him but he didn't return the favour and passed me out!

The new section is great. I loved been able to see people as you were riding.
Really, REALLY enjoyed that - a lot more than I thought I would. Many thanks to the course builders Max, John and everyone else who chipped in - reducing the race to 3 laps from the 4 makes a massive psychological difference - the whole race seemed to zip by in no time. New first section is class, flowey berms all the way down and a nice chunky tech climb back up, which makes the section 2 climb seem like a doddle now. Plenty of vantage points on this section to see who's coming / who's ahead - brilliant improvements, thanks lads!

Quick spin up and over 3 rock to finish, dreamtrack had me buzzing again!
as for that new log drop on section 3 - that came out of nowhere and nearly had me OTB 3 times, but held it - need to practice that with saddle up! Great addition!
That was deadly, had a great race with my old nemesis Kieran. , he shot off on the first lap, but I crawled my way back, just passing on the last lap. The new course is the best ever, and the 3 laps is mentally way better than 4! The log drop caught me off guard and nearly hit the tree beside it, cost me a good 2 seconds .

Great to be back racing, even if it nearly killed me. The course is rolling great, fair play to all involved and thanks to the timers. Back for more pain next week.
