Round 5 Results

Well that was deadly. Thanks to all who turned up and made it a super race tonight.

Congratulations to the winner Billy Brazil in the Senior race. Jonah our winner in the Youth race.

Actually not much in the way of rain in the forest. Though the course did get slippy as the laps went by. I banged a pedal off a rock atleast two times on the new section 1 climb. Am loving having to learn how to ride that, where to carry speed, where not to brake, and so on. Great buzz. Brian was out lurking on the course with a big camera. I did him a favour and snotted myself going over the big rock drop on section 1. We'll see if there is any evidence of my fail. Some craic on the spin home. Flash floods I could've done with swimming goggles. For real.

Close battle in the fastest lap competition tonight. Only 1 second separating Oisin and Kev. I hope our timers were eagle eyed. We might have to go to a millisecond based timing system

Between that and the sprint finish (which I lost ) it was very close racing this evening!

Great night’s racing. Thanks to Brian, Colm and John for the race. Looked like it was going to pour but it held off… until I got to the road home. Biblical rain just about does it justice. Looking forward to next week.

PS. Brian gave me the photos Ronan so… how about we come to a deal where I get a 18:45 start time and delete any incriminating photos?
