Tuesday 20th - 6.30pm - Foxrock Church - Road Spin

well I thought that was an excellent spin..brilliant group out, great craic and everybody did their bit at the front , even Jacinta ! Nice one Richard..ahhhh these spins are great, very social and with the group we have had this week and last very well organised and very sharp on the road. Some funny remarks along the way.
The perfect compliment to the Wednesday night MTB spin..what happened to Oz ?
Yeh ... really good crew and spin! Fairly quick pace but manageable for all. Wind didn't make as much difference as I'd feared! Always a good laugh when Doris and Richie get together .... like two bold children they are!!
Really enjoyed that lads, its a mixture of a good workout up the hills, and then its a social chat on the flat/downhills.Love it.Thanks Richard.
some Taxi Driver ..Micky was going to the Home For the Bewildered at Whites Cross instead of Foxrock Church ..the Giant Picture of the Virgin Mary confused him..riding through Foxrock confused him , too many Houses with more than one Bathroom will do that to a Nort Sider !
That was a good craic, except when the bus (that I was 2 foot behind ) slammed on the brakes!
Great stuff, much safer in a group than solo. I went straight on at the N11.

Great spin Richard, thanks... however the pace was that 1 or 2km too slow leading to people (including myself) jumping off the front (perhaps just to keep warm if nothing else). It should be no bother with a group that size to do an Av. of 27kph, I measured the spin last night at Av. 25.5kph. The slight increase i am sure would lead to less eratic riding and a more even pace from start to finish! I am not complaining, only a passing comment that might improve things?

I'd agree Ken - I think we need to push along a bit quicker on the flat bits but try to keep it steadier on the climbs! Funny I averaged 26.6km/hr over 76kms! You just need to speed up a bit to keep up!!

... it was probably the snails pace I did out to Foxrock and an easy pace back home that brought my Av. down or else yes, maybe I am slowing up!
