What a spin that was on a cold and wet night up @ 3Rock.
7 of us out tonight to brave the good old Irish autumn.
As per usual I managed to fall off about 4 times twice going down Woccas (I hate that trail) and nearly froze to death as I didn't bring arm or leg warmers cos it was warm ish when I left home how wrong I was.
Good spin around the usual route for a Wednesday nice and slippery over the roots and rocks. Very windy and wet on top of Fairy Castle then down Woccas to DH Legends where we lost Alan for a bit Oz,Andy and Conner went to look for him. Then we found him on the road then we all went home.

Bunch of legends went out on the mtbs tonight in the pissing rain. Ben was wearing a slip but reckoned he'd be a ok.... managed the usual ties route with some minor additions and a game of hide and seek with al. Great to be out sliding around the gaf.... yeowww
Thanks so much guys for hanging around to look for me. I lost sight of Ben going through the forest and ended up somewhere I'd never been before. I tried calling Ben but I had no signal. So i kept following some track thinking it might end up in the same place where ye were but it didn't so I retraced my steps but still couldn't find which way ye could have gone. In the end I spotted the lights of a car so I headed for that and ended up on a road that I didn't recognise. After a while a car came and I flagged it down for directions back to Johnny foxes. Sorry for the hassle I caused. Conor and I were saying that we should have each others mobile numbers for situations like this. I only have Bens number.
Apart from the end, it was a good spin despite the weather.

great spin. what was weird was I thought the bike would be slipping all over the place, but it wasn't - I was dabbing cause I thought the tires would grip - but every time I pushed on they did! Mental Issues! Gotta trust the bike !!! ! ! ! !
First time in that much sticky mud for a long time! looking at the black puddles before you plough through them you're thinking - How deep is that? Will I stick? Never!
Going home was spooky as heck. great spin with a great bunch - the pace was; well, how would you describe it? just beyond the threshold? it was far beyond comfortable! Really enjoyed it - feel I'm getting stronger - I was pushing smaller cogs (on the back) more than usual! Feel the burn! (I had an 11 cog up front - that's cool, right?)
