How long does this spin normally take? ballpark, outward bound. Just curious because i tried this yesterday going the opposite way from ballinastoe but had to bail because I didn't allow enough time before going to work and I was already fecked anyway.
Jaysus i don't know but from Ballinastoe back to the Gala is animal.
At the height of our powers, me Damo and Alfie used to get from the Gala shop to Curtlestown and back on the road to the Gala shop between 1 hr 40 and 1 hour 50..but that pace would blind normal people.
I think Robin can get from the Gala Shop to Djouce river valley in 1hr 30..
we will be going over fairy castle and over maulin, so I'm giving it a conservative 4 hours for the Ultra savages.
I'm hoping most people will go the whole way but if people turn off at the road crossings in Glencullen ( they are weak and feeble) and Glencree ( mediochre and whipped), then so be it.

Mind you the mini Bog of Death would definitely upset you. I like it because once you get past the quicksand, its frickin deadly singletrack. But people should aim to do this in a group, one of you can carry the Ammo and one of you can carry the water !!
