Thursdays Roo's Rip . 14th nov

Hi folks . I'm post up a spin for 6.30 leadmines. There are a lot of people are around and if you could post your interest. Always remember you're needed and the spin is more craic with you on it . I'm up to my #$ts at the moment and I can commit. I hope you can make it and pull a great spin together and stick up a good report make folk wish they were out with you .
Meet at slashes church at 6.30 belt to scalp for two loops of the Spin trail , Alzer added to the left of the rock pop off for ease ... down the slippy shoot and ip to car park Over to club course for one full lap into half lap of section 2 to in to Willets trail and pop out take a left and head to Cathys loop around back to club course and to the tower trail then over to scalp . Quick spin loads of trails
See yez there. The last Roo's Rip was to an opening for an art collection so all types catered for.
Lots of down trees on our favourite routes but we made the best of it. Thanks peeps.
Can't believe roo made us hike a bike :)
Just 5 of us out on a rather chilly night, they nearly lost me to hypothermia, when they stopped yapping like aul ones at bridge ha. Felt like we did loads of climbing....strava says otherwise, I even though the elevation was wrong on strava so did the correct elevation thing and I stole elevation off me noooooo!
Thanks guys, see you next week for roos return
So myself Colm, Oz, Erica and Alzer headed off into the cold crispy moonlit night for a lash around the leadmines that in the end lasted well over 2 hours. We did all the stuff Roo told us to do and then went off script. We did an extra trail down by Willets trail which had some new jumps. I got caught out with an unseen gap and ended up in the gap but no harm done. Then back up again where we met Bren Masterson and his buddy and chats were had. Eventually we managed to prize Colm away from the conversation by simply riding off !. We needed to keep moving as Erica was slowly freezing to death (we knew this because she had gone strangely quiet :-) ). So we headed up to the pylon and down towards the gully trail but were met with quite a few trees down and had to do a few hike the bikes, but we got there in the end. Then around the back (which is still wrecked in places) and back up to the club course, down by the tower and over and down the scalp to finish off. I did the last 30 mins with no light but Alzer's light is strong enough to light up all of south Dublin so no issues really. All in all a deadly night to be out, trials were riding really well despite the odd puddle. Thanks for coming out everyone !
Great write up Mick. Really enjoyed the spin. Thanks for coming out in the cold. Trails were riding really well I thought
