Sure I nearly forgot what day it was! Woo it's the weekend, and it wouldn't be a proper weekend without a jaunt in djouce. Rolling out at 915, bring your winter woolies, and a hot toddie

9.15? Thats a funny time. Is it to find a middleground between those that want 9am start and ones like me who prefer the 9.30 start?

That spin was unreal
Oscar, Erica, Colm, Glen and meself. Had Djouce and Maulin to ourselves.
Conditions were fantastic - zero wind, dry trails (how?), plenty of skids and jumps

Djoucetastic! We did all the climbs and all the descents, the trail after the ski slope in Maulin has been felled but we decided to try a bit of it anyway and and Got caaaaked in mud, bike was about 4 stone heavier, no exaggeration! Vinny rode it all with no back brake, as you do. Glen forgot his trousers and had to go home in a pair of his wife's panties :)
Glad we went 15 mins earlier, I made it to the nct place with 10 mins to spare, phew, although I didn't even have lunch and didn't shower... Nasty! To Shakira for curry now, get in my belly!

Jesus H Christ that was a monster of a spin... fantastic weather, all the trails in djouce .. over 4 hours with 1200 m of climbing ... last hour hit me hard on those climbs, was lagging behind trying to keep pace with the others.. but the downhills were more than worth it! absolutely zonked afterwards every part of my body aching... but so worth it! Back at the car getting changed out of my soaking wet cycling gear and into nice warm trackies....but realised I forgot my bottoms.. had a pair of speedos in the bottom of the bag... was my only option... some sight driving home, if ever there was a time not to get pulled in! Anyway not quite the wife’s knickers as Erica mentioned... but not far off!
