Well that was XC spin start and Enduro finish! More lycra than a bray wheelers outing. Ben was in flying form, like a new puppy running and pissing everywhere. We headed up, down, across, around, looped and hit most things backwards. Out was Ronan, Keith, Mal, Phil, Ben and Lawdie. Caroline was on a different mission.

Class spin! Enjoyed that. Another alternative Lawdie route around Ticknock, with what seemed like lots of climbing - but covered lots of the good stuff. Lights for the second half. Great weather out - cool but mostly dry. Bike felt sooo much better this week (big thanks to the lads in Expert Cycles!) but the legs have a bit more catching up to do, even after driving up to conserve my energy. Some new old faces out for a midweek spin too - good to see y'all.

Sounds like great fun was had! Looks like you are all gone back to xc, even mal is in lycra!

What can i say. If you've checked out the facebook photos, you'll get an idea of the scenery. Boring old 3 rock looking unreal. No filters on those photos, it was mad, so many colours in the sky. Thanks to lawdie for leading around, great bunch out. Its been ages since I was on an epic spin. And I mean ages. So long ago that I've no idea how to mountain bike any more. Thats cool, getting to learn all over again. Left my descending mojo somewhere back in 2019 or was it 2018. Bumped into Ben on the way out near Rathfarnham. That was the end of the easy warm up spin the legs. Lots of technical climbing last night. There I was thinking, parachute into a Wednesday night spin, ease back into it with a handy one. Legs are feeling it today. Didn't recognise many of the trails last night. The trail building elves have been busy since my last trip to 3 rock. Great to see schizzel back. Always loved the name of that trail, perfect. Crossed over boneshaker from there into more uncharted territory for me. Brilliant, can't wait to go back up there and explore more of this. Finished off with a spin back on the road, myself and Phil had the company of a small deer for a stretch. Trotting along beside us. Siily animal, get back in the forest.

Bit of a cold damp day today. Fully charged with endorphins from last night, no worries. Happy days. See you out trails again soon
