Seahan - Fri 9th - Morning Spin

Gonna bag an early spin tomorrow, easy pace. Merry Ploughboy 830am. Cruagh, Kilakee and Seahan. Double back on a similar route with optional extras depending on energy levels, a monster dead end road climb from glenasmole towards kippure, st. anne's graveyard, featherbeds fireroads, cruagh again. Not crossing the county line

Jealous Ronan. That promises to be a fun expedition.

Only been up the climb from the reservoir to Seehan once, couple of years ago. I'm curious to see if it's as long and torturous as I remember. Not really selling this spin [emoji1]

Good grief. That seahan climb from the farmhouse is worse than I remembered. Mustve been a lot fitter the last time. Felt like the bike was gonna roll backwards some times, with so little forwards momentum from each pedal stroke. Threw my hands in the air like I'd won a tour de france stage when I got to the top. Some slog. You get a real sense of how long a climb it is when descending back down, goes on forever. Bit of everything on the ride today, bogs, forests, an awful lot of gravel climbs, no angry dogs. 6hrs in the saddle

That must be the hardest mtb climb around Ronan some man for punishing yourself also one of the longest descents around for putting a smile on your face

Did we see you on the road from Bohernabreena? Much prefer the other climb, that side is brutal! Fair play.

Glenasmole I think, we went through reservoir on way up to Cruagh. Nice day for a spin, did a 48km loop and got home just before the rain.

Fair play Ronan that's a tough spin. I'd say you were cursing the climb back up cruagh after all that, goes on forever at the best of times! Well done👍
