Solid 3-3.5 hour spin. Enniskerry to curtlestown down to river across to crone up and down some deadly trails in crone, across to djouce and back the road . Bring jellies and climbing legs! And post if coming!
Well I was a heap after this , everyone riding well
Even the The two lads on E’s. Some amazing new trials and full on, as for me I could only see with one eye
Then due to the heat and excessive perspiration my contacts evaporated leaving me floundering helplessly In the woods before I bailed . thanks Mick !
So, deadly spin in brilliant weather. We had BON, Terry Mc, Phil, Shona, canto, Shane & Rory. We should have had 2 more but they were too lazy to get out of bed !. We also had a guest appearance from James after he dropped all the Worcie lads in djouce and was looking for a more challenging spin.
Up the road from Enniskerry, past a few hundred roadies, down to curtlestown and up to the top where BON showed us why he’s a legend and rode the log after only one quick recce.
Down love island ( Terry’s favourite) all the way to the bottom then across to Crone. Where we went up for a bit stopping only for Canto to have his lunch of marmalade sandwiches. Down the alpine trail then up the switchbacks for the second time all the way to the top where we decended on the the other deadly trail to the bottom. Canto showed us how he rides without using brakes which was fun to watch.
At the bottom we said goodbye to half the gang who all had pressing engagements which they didn’t want to miss so headed back the road to Enniskerry, whilst myself , shona, Terry, Shane and the recently recruited James headed across to djouce through the electric picnic sized crowds at the waterfall. Up for a bit, down toro, then up and down a bit more before descending into the chaos of Enniskerry.
Big thanks to everyone for coming out and to BON for helping with the trail locating. Finally Fair play to Shane , we tried to kill him but he just kept going.
