One of the best evenings for a rip . No wind rain and it was mild out . Took the jet's of Shona Mick Bon to killmashoughe hill climb, pointing out the new trails hidden off the fire road , which we were to revisit after a loop . I was knackered but delighted to be out on a spin in December, unheard of usually.
We got to eurosceptic and rode it to the wet run off trail the cuts across the mountain leading to the lovely climb of fairy castle. Took a moment at the top all of 15 seconds and tic tac 'd our way down to two rock heading for After Byrner which was the bomb. I was thinking of Alfie wincing as I leapt the bike through the jumps and burms following Bon at pace.... absolutely amazing... hard to get the trail to work but when you do especially at the top , its fantastic. We Cruz'd the Santa to the top of skyline and headed for claustrophobia were I lost a light ... good luck finding that . And the finally to the Robyn's new trails off the fire road on the decent down killmashoughe. Now John if your still with me I hope you ridden them before the break as they are the most jenky yet flowie handbuild jet I say bespoke trails you can find in that side of the mountain with the rock wall bridges and the swooping shoots , a joy to ride and great place to bring your self just to session and hone ones skills . Anyhow that was it , a brilliant night on the bikes . Thanks a million. Can't wait for next one .
