Charging my lights right now in anticipation.
I'll take the bus lane, departing the school on Whitechurch Road at 6pm and the roundabout at 6.05pm.

Where are the spin reports?
Niamh, it's your turn to give a full report of what went on, don't be shy.

Alrighty..

Mild evening.
Kieran headed up in the bus lane and I was 3 mins late but Tony and Sarah kindly waited for me.

Tony powered up the pistons and flew up Kilmashogue hill in the blink of an eye.

It wasn't long before I ran out of steam.. it was actually just after the gate to Columbas college and everything started falling to shite for me after that.

Sarah and I sluggishly (me more of a slug) tipped along up the long slog to the top where Tony and Kieran had turned to blocks of ice while waiting for us.

Up the usual route to the top of fairy castle and down the boggy way to the black trail. Black trail is always a good reward after the climbs before.

I got thrown off the bike somewhere along the way which it wasn't until I got home I noticed that a rock had chomped a nice crack in my chain stay .. sad face/crying face. That's me off the bike for a bit..

Did satellite, t-connector and a sneaky new route (thanks to Tony the explorer) down to meet the purple road. That was a cool trial let's do that again.

Up to the masts and myself and Sarah went down home metro and the lads cycled off into the night.

I don't think I've ever been as happy to get into bed .. fair dues to everyone for putting up with me last night .. I overdid it this week for myself so felt crap .. least I didn't complain once

xox

Kieran, Tony, Sarah and mise.

Can be easy enough replaced. I've seen a good few of these going. Mick o Reilly went through about 4 on one bike he had. Lucky it was the bike and not the leg etc. if it's aluminium u probably get it welded.

Great spin report Niamh, thanks. That's such a shame about the chain stay.
If anyone on here knows someone that can repair it, please advise.

Niamh, can you upload a photo of the damage here so that someone might know if it can be repaired

It's carbon i believe, so can't be repaired as far as I know.

Hey Niamh - bring the bike down to Wayne at Cycleplus in Greystones http://www.cycleplus.ie/ - he's a wizard with the carbon, can fix anything really - he'll let you know straight away if its fixable or not. Prob cost about €200 if its bad, cheaper than a new bike though and certainly quicker than warranty route etc... good luck!
Thanks all! Just brought it to a mechanic to take a look at it and he wasn't too worried about it .. more worried about my rear brake pads haha!
Luckily only the front triangle is carbon the back is aluminium so just about got away with it but he said to keep a eye on it and it should give enough warning before/when/if it fails.
