Haven't been to Ballinastoe for a while, so let's go there.
I'll post the route later. Tony working but I'll get him to send me route he did here a while back that took in lough Dan.
You read my mind Alan, I was going to post something similar. Strava tells me that the last time I was in Ballinastoe was Feb 2020, in the before times, so looking for to this!
Really enjoyed that spin. Was a very pleasant surprise to have Oscar join us as Iomair, Kieren and I started up past biking.ie.
We did a few new trails in Ballinastoe and then as we started to head up to the higher the was so strong on our faces, we could hardly move so made a call not to head for Lough Dan and go to Djouce instead.
We cycled there with the wind at our backs so we're there in no time.
Despite the fact that Oscar was off the bike for 3 months, you couldn't tell at all.
Did some nice trails around djouce. We were pushed off the bikes a few times with strong cross winds.
The cycle back to Ballinastoe was tough enough but we enjoyed coffee and cake at the hut at the end.
Thanks gents, enjoyed that despite the gale force winds trying to blow us off the side of the hill. Great decision by the committee to abandon plans for lough Dan and head back to djouce. Nice morning on the bikes, cycle back was tough. Cheers all
