Wow that place is amazing. We met up with the sun out and off up to dig and ride . Holy smokes Awesome trail , following Oisin and Bon at high speed over those big enough jumps ..
with Mick Ronan and Shona in tow . Shona sliced her tyre and this gave Me Ronan a chance to get up the hill as the lads looked at Shona fixing her bike . We met at the gates and climbed and climbed some more . I couldn't get over the scenery or just how big the hill and lake are . Only by looking down at the trucks of the esb could I grasp it . Anyways ... we marched on , 5 big climbs in all .
and as you descend it just get wilder ... so technical I have done it a few times on a hardtail as a younger man . .. but after the massive rock slabs and as we got to the glassy downhill with long jumps we reached speeds of 47kmh I was actually just laughing with giddiness trying to hold on and make the most of it .
we got back to the carpark just as the light faded. Massive thanks to the crew tonight. Spectacular spin
