Might I suggest a slight modification? If the weather isn't too bad maybe head up the top of djouce instead of along the side? The descent off the top is really nice, bit of a slog up to the top but worth it in my opinion for the downhill.
Well I think that was the muddiest I've ever been, 3 full body dabs one of which was a 20 foot slide out through mud only to finish off in a huge puddle. Despite my slip'n'slide antics it was great fun, sideways bikes all over the place.
Deadly spin Gary cheers. It was like a Sunday Tuesday night spin. Off the side of the top of Djouce with the speed turned up to 11 was deadly and GC with no lights im gonna have to have the grin surgically removed from my face. It was deadly.
Now that was a cracker! I haven't scared myself that much in ages. Baiting down the side of djouce pretending you can see and imagining you have some sort of grip was just perfect, Thats why I got up this morning.
Thank God I brought the skinny bike, that climb would have broken me before we even got to the sleepers if I had the big yoke. I havent felt my legs burn like that in years.
Well done Gary, first of the big hill night spins well worth the pain. Now im going to take a bath and set my alarm for seven my muscles should be right by then.
Well worth the hour and half of climbing .Nice pace and great gang .Sham and myself sporting the new range of MTB kilts when baggys go bad. Horible sensation going down GC with ripped shorts locked onto back of saddle.Great to see SHam,Al ,and Gav back out.Train hard lads and someday we will upgrade these spins to intermediate craic elite spins.Mountain biking has never been so PC Thanks Gaz for putting this on.
Well that was some laugh, good crowed out last night, 10 looneys flying off the side of Djouce was just brilliant, visability was none existant and the amount of water was just unreal, you needed a rudder for steering. Thanks to everyone who turned up, nice to see Sham back in fine form, also good to see Mr Jackson and Steve giving it socks, Al might say he's lacking in a bit of fittness at the mo but it wouldn't show on the Decents with myself and Joe trying to keep up with him and the rest of the pack hot on our heals, a great nightspin with a great group of guys.
