Now..
Theres a lot of new people on these spins so heres some stuff you should be aware of..
1. These spins are run by trained volunteers. But its theres Spin too. Turn up ill prepared and causing holdups will only see you booted off them.
2. Be properly equipped and kitted out. You are going up serious mountains ( they aren't that high but the tempermental nature of irish weather is what makes it dangerous up there,and you can die from a 20' cliff as easily as a 1000' one.
3 If you have a problem, let the spin leader know straight away, bear this in mind, if you can't replace a tube in 3 mins then you are a hopeless case, replacing a broken chain can be 5mins.
4. respect the spin leader, he or she is responsible for you
5. As a member of EPIC you are obliged to improve, we don't want passengers and wasters. So your goal should be to be the best Mountainbiker in the World.
No other Club will give you the spins that EPIC can..and we have the best spin leaders by miles.
You owe it to them to make it as easy as it can be to run the spin. They are not there to answer tyre choice questions or the right gear to be in or what powergel to eat, they are there to make sure everybody gets a good spin in and everybody gets home safely
