XCOD Tuesday 24th 6.30 Usual spot in Glendo

and the Ewoks !!and hopefully St kevins..
Now..if you were out today on the XCOD 3 Rock Spin you are eligible ( Unless you are one of the regular savages of course which automatically makes you worthy)

Not going to miss this one, and I'll make sure all parts of the bike are there before I leave the house!

ooh..that was not the usual craic..due to the grim enough Weather..only myself,Alfie, Dave Rusty, Brendan, Micky, Max and Eamon, though thats a fair bunch for 6.30 !!
My intention was to cycle from work but one look at the weather dissuaded me.
So I parked in Roundwood and went from there..
up Scarr in a gale ..it was fierce dry all the same and no talking or laughing with Alfie blazing a trail all the way to the top..
a quick break and back down..
Eamo snotted himself and Brendans Shock went into neutral mode..
I left the boys at the bottom of Scarr..thinking the lads were heading straight back to the cars..
But the eejits went around Brockagh, through the jungle of death !!
Now lads , even if I had to cycle home I wouldn't miss the ewoks but there was no way I was attempting that poxy *****ly jungle !!!
Not after the last time !!
Nice one fellow XCODers..another Classic..i think i did about 36k !! jesus though..its a climb all the way from Laragh to Roundwood..
Be warned..I thik we'll be Glendoing from ROundwood in future for that extra pain !

My first time up Scarr today! I think this was the hardest climb I've done this year (so far), getting that big yoke up in gale force wind was hard work..
Great descent though so it was worth it.
You missed the craic Richie, the jungle was something else! Brendan showing us the way and shouting - c'mon be brave!
Alfie wrecked his bike today and I nearly died on Ewoks when my front tire went flat and I couldn't make any of the turns.

Enjoyed the spin,great bunch of people out.Was some crosswind at the upper slope's of Scarr.The gorse on Brockagh was a bastad!!The ice cream in Roundwood made up for the pain!!Thanks lads.

I can't believe that was your first time up Scarr , Macx..
as for the Jungle..been there done it too many times and was it my imagination, was it getting very dark very early !!

That climb was Grim all right in that head wind but worth it for the deadly decent.. Ewoks never fails to test ye.. the top was interesting in the dark :eek: But all in all another classic XCOD spin..

29.1 mph on the garmin, that's probably right about where i parted company with the bike, i have fingers like sausages now! as for thre gorse cuts, i'll have to get some jeggings

only men with Daughters know what jeggings are !!Except for Luke or Oscar maybe !!

I really didn't think Alfie would be daft enough to chance the forest of death ..he must have forgotten !! Nobody must be walking it at all..
